Event & Wedding Porta Potty Rental in Austin
Restrooms your guests won't complain about, delivered clean and placed before the first car parks. Austin Portable Toilets covers weddings, festivals, races, and backyard parties across the metro.
Weddings: where the porta potty rental gets upgraded
Outdoor venues are a huge part of why couples get married around Austin, and a lot of the best ones sit on ranch land with no plumbing near the ceremony site. That is the one detail guests will remember if it goes wrong. For weddings we steer most couples toward deluxe flushing units, or toward a multi-stall trailer with running water when the budget allows, because the difference in guest experience is large for the money.
Placement matters as much as the unit. We set wedding restrooms downwind and out of the photo lines, close enough that older guests are not hiking, and on ground firm enough for heels. Austin Portable Toilets delivers the day before whenever the venue allows it, so setup never collides with your vendors.
Festivals, races, and crowds that need a count
Bigger events are a math problem first. Guest count, event length, and alcohol service set the unit count, and gate placement sets where the lines form. Our sizing guide for events and job sites covers the ratios, but the short version is that a four-hour event needs roughly one unit per 50 to 75 people, plus ADA-accessible units at accessible entrances.
Multi-day events also need mid-event service. Nobody wants Sunday morning units that worked hard all Saturday, so we schedule a pump-and-restock visit between days. That visit is part of the quote, not a surprise line item.
Backyard parties and home events
A single deluxe unit is one of the cheapest forms of insurance a party host can buy. Fifty guests cycling through one indoor bathroom is rough on a septic system and rougher on the host, and graduation season proves it every May in this town. One event porta potty rental by the fence line keeps the house line short and the septic tank safe.
Home deliveries are where placement questions come up most, since gates, slopes, and sprinkler heads all matter. Send us a photo of the spot when you book and we will confirm the truck can reach it, or suggest a better location before delivery day.
What to have ready when you call
Three things size an event order. We need the date, the expected headcount, and the address. It also helps to know whether alcohol is served, whether any guests need an accessible unit, and what time the venue opens for setup. With those answers, quoting takes minutes and your delivery window goes on the schedule the same day, which as of 2026 is still the fastest way we know to cross restrooms off an event checklist.
Event rental questions
How many porta potties does a wedding need?
A common planning ratio is one unit per 50 to 75 guests for a four-hour event, and one per 50 when alcohol is served. A 150-guest wedding with a bar is comfortable with three standard units or a two-stall restroom trailer. Our sizing guide walks through the math for longer events.
Can the units be delivered the day before?
Yes, and for weddings we recommend it. A Friday delivery for a Saturday ceremony means placement happens without vendors, caterers, and guests in the way, and you can see the units in position before the day starts.
What do event units look like inside?
Deluxe event units have a flushing bowl, an interior hand wash sink or sanitizer dispenser, a mirror, and interior lighting via a translucent roof. They read closer to a stadium restroom stall than to a job-site unit.
Do you rent for one-day events?
Yes. Single-day rentals are normal for parties, church events, and 5K races. Delivery happens before the event and pickup is usually the next business day, and the quote covers the whole cycle.
Planning an event this season?
Call with the date, headcount, and venue. We will recommend a unit mix and hold your delivery window.
