Long-Term Porta Potty Rental in Austin
For jobs and projects that run for weeks or months across the Austin metro, Austin Portable Toilets offers monthly porta potty rental with weekly service included in the monthly rate.
How monthly billing works
We bill in 28-day service months, with one rate covering the unit, delivery, placement, weekly service visits, and pickup. Your unit comes with a starting stock of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. You don't need a fixed end date when you book or a long-term contract to sign. The rental continues month to month until you call for pickup.
As of 2026, the typical Austin-area range for a standard unit with weekly service is $150 to $250 per month. Service frequency and how far your site is from the core metro affect where the rate falls in that range. You can compare typical rates for other units in the full price breakdown by unit type.
Who rents a porta potty by the month
Monthly porta potty rentals serve construction crews as well as homeowners, film shoots, and seasonal farm operations.
- Construction crews use job site rentals for home builds, remodels, and commercial projects.
- Home remodels need a unit when the house's only bathroom is out of service during the work.
- Barndominium builds on acreage outside Bastrop rent a porta potty by the month.
- Film shoots book a porta potty for a month at a time.
- Seasonal farm operations rent a restroom for the length of the season.
Weekly service on a long-term rental
Every long rental includes a weekly service visit from Austin Portable Toilets. At each visit, we pump the tank, wash the inside, restock toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and refresh the deodorizer, which works harder in a Texas summer. Our service trucks run standing weekly routes through the metro, so your site gets a fixed service day starting week one. If you have a concrete pour or crane booked on that day, call ahead and we'll shift the visit around it.
Twice-a-week service makes sense for a big crew, a hot month, or one unit shared by several trades. A second weekly visit adds roughly half the base rate. If staffing changes partway through the rental, you can change the service frequency to match the crew using the unit.
Moving the unit as the work changes
On a long build, where the unit sits changes with each phase, from near the job trailer during dirt work to next to the structure during framing and back to the fence line for finish-out. With enough notice, we'll relocate it during the regular weekly visit. If an active pour or grading work calls for a faster move, call and ask. Please don't drag the unit with equipment because that damages the base.
When a monthly rental costs less than a short one
Delivery and pickup are fixed costs on every rental, so less of that cost lands on each day the longer a unit stays. A two-day event rental and a full service month can cost close to the same amount. Per day, a monthly rental is far cheaper than a weekend rental.
A rental running past two weeks almost always prices better on the monthly structure, so ask Austin Portable Toilets for the monthly rate. Sites at the far edges of the service area, such as acreage near Bastrop or Dripping Springs, can carry a distance charge for truck time. We quote that charge before booking and never add it later on the invoice.
What to add for a longer project
A freestanding hand wash station next to the units is worth adding on sites with concrete or paint work. Ask us about hand wash station rentals. Our ADA-accessible units also go out on long-term rentals for a worker who needs one or a site with public frontage, and they get the same weekly service. Order the count for the busiest week of your schedule using the unit-count guide.
Monthly rental questions
How much does it cost to rent a porta potty for a month?
A standard unit with weekly service typically costs $150 to $250 per month in the Austin area. The monthly rate includes delivery, placement, weekly service visits, and pickup. Higher service frequency or a far-out site raises the rate.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No, there's no contract to sign. Billing runs one 28-day service month at a time, and the unit stays until you call for pickup.
Can I rent a porta potty for a home remodel?
Yes, home remodels commonly need a unit when the home's only bathroom is torn out during the work. You get the same monthly rate and weekly service as a job site unit, and we place it where the service truck can reach it easily.
How often is a long-term porta potty cleaned?
A long-term unit is cleaned once a week by default. Twice-a-week service is available for big crews or summer heat, and you can change the frequency during the rental.
